Nor'easter!

Got hit pretty good here on the Coast O'Maine! It was still snowing when my son and I went out to dig our way to civilization, such that it is around here.

The view out the front door. The wind made a weird vortex between the house and garage, piled all the snow on the porch and left some pretty spectacular geometric shapes. Note the snow 3/4 up the garage doorin the background. But on the other side of the driveway, my daughter's car didn't have a speck of snow on it, and no snow even surrounding it to a distance of two feet! God loves her and does not want her to have to scrape her car!

I guess the tarp and strongback on the boat will need a little adjusting. My daughter's car on the right with not a flake of snow on it.

  1. Hi Lisa & Jim, Thanks for sharing your photos. They are so amazing to look at. I don't think I've seen that much snow since I was a kid. I come from northern Maine and I remember a few good winter storms where we could not even leave the house due to the snow measuring up to the top of our door. We were completely snowed in!! Looking at your 2nd picture, brought back those memories. I especially enjoyed you sharing
about your daughter's car. That's weird how there was no snow on or around her car. Anyhow, thanks for sharing and please say hi to Lisa for me. I miss her and miss talking with her. Hope all is well with you guys. God Bless, Lisa

  2. Those are some huge drifts. And yeah, it was a strange storm - there was more snow on the front deck at midnight than there was the next day, after twelve hours of blizzard. But the other side of the house got buried like I'd never seen it. So thankful it was light snow, or I'd still be out shoveling.

Oh, and if your tarp is blue, I think I saw it go by here Saturday morning.

    1. I'm ashamed to say the tarp was not blue. Makes me feel like someone from away to use anythign but a blue tarp, but it's all I had.
